and Caregivers

As Teachers and Caregivers you are called upon to fulfill a unique role in the lives of our young children. You are given the opportunity each day to positively impact their lives by wearing many different hats; role model, playmate, educator, storyteller, and many more.

All children need care, support, and developmentally appropriate activities to help them grow and learn. Many times you are also called upon to educate and support the parents of the children you serve.  We recognize that it’s not always easy!

This page provides you with information and resources to help you fulfill this vital role.

Child care can be an exciting and rewarding field. Working in child care presents a wonderful opportunity to have a positive impact on the lives of children and their families in your community.

Research has demonstrated the significance of a child’s early years for brain development. It also has confirmed the importance of the early childhood workforce, and the education of the workforce, and its impact on children and high-quality child care.
